The Palmerworm, the
Locust, the Cankerworm and the Caterpillar are the four
stages of punishment that God will send against His own people in the end
time to correct them for the sin of idolatry. The terms "locust" and
"grasshopper" are synonymous and this insects was dreaded by farmers
because of its destructive powers to strip and destroy all green vegetation.
The analogy that we are given here is that, if you are not protected under
the Ark of truth concerning this deception then, Satan’s minister’s of
righteousness will literally strip the truth from your mind by, twisting the
Holy Scriptures just enough to make what is false seem to be true
(2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
Proverbs 30:27-The locusts
have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands.
The word "bands" in
Hebrew means, "to distribute into ranks." (Strong’s #2686)
The locust had no king at the
time of this writing in the book of Proverbs, but in the book of Revelation,
their king will emerge from the bottomless pit. Observe the discipline that
these deceivers exhibit as they form ranks and organize their deception
before their king is crowned.
Revelation 9:11-And they had
a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in
the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name
The name ‘Abaddon’ in
the Hebrew language means, "destroying angel." (Strong’s #3)
The name ‘Apollyon’ in
the Greek language means, "Satan." (Strong’s #623)
In conclusion, I thank our
Father for His Word, because His Word always shines light on lies and false
teaching. The seriousness about believing lies is: if you believe one lie
then other lies are sure to follow. As Christians, we are not obligated to
blindly believe and not question the teachings of our local pastors if that
teaching is contrary to the Written Word. Because I assure you that your
pastor will not be able to stand in your defense when you are judged in that
day; he will have his own problems to deal with if he continues to teach
