Pride was the reason for Satanís fall from grace. This
vain glory has also affected some in the ministry. How many times have you
heard preachers prophesied of things they claim God laid on their heart, and
then the prophecy of which they spoke does not come true? Most Christians
pay absolutely no attention to the failed prophecy after the fact, but the
lies that they tell in our Fatherís name have not eluded His attention. He
will not hold them guiltless for this sin.
Their vain pride is nothing more than vanity run amok.
The absurdity here is that they willingly lie about God speaking in an
effort to make you believe they have a closer walk with Him. The Christianís
only defense against this un-biblical nonsense is to apply the prophetic
test that God has set as our standard of truth. The test is designed to weed
out the false teachers. But it does more than that, it also allows God to
evaluate the character of your faith by observing your obedience to His Word
above any church doctrine that may contradict His Word in ignorance.
Deuteronomy 13:1-If there arise among you a prophet, or a
dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder. And the sign or a
wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after
other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them.
"Let us go after other gods to serve them," is what these
foolish preachers are actually saying to you when they teach you in error to
embrace a lie. Deception, my friend, is the damming consequence you can
expect when you allow yourself to get tangled up with lies and false
teaching. Why is this sin so damming to those Christians who believe this
lie. When you commit this sin, and you will if you have been mentally
conditioned to worship the first Jesus that appears on earth, then you, by
your own actions, will have foolishly broken the first and second
commandments which is spiritually idolatry by worshiping another god (Exodus
20:1-4 & 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5). The graven image of the New
Testament is not made of wood or silver, but is forged out of lies that are
based on false and misleading doctrine (Jeremiah 51:17 & Jeremiah 10:14).
Most Christians find it impossible to believe that Satan
would use the erroneous teaching of their local pastors to accomplish his
deception. By denying this truth, they fail to learn the lesson that was
taught to us in Exodus 32:1-6 and 1 Corinthians 10:6-7. Aaron, the High
Priest, was our example who showed us that even religious men of the highest
order can be deceived into leading people away from God. And our Father will
allow you venture after this other god as a test, to see if you can tell the
difference between the true Savior of the world from the false one.
Deuteronomy 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of
that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth
you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul.
The word Ďprovethí in Hebrew means, "to test or
try." (Strongís #5254)
The word Ďtestí defined by Websterís New
Collegiate Dictionary means, "a means of trial; specific subjection to
conditions that show the real character of a person in a certain particular;
that with which anything is compared for proof of genuineness; touchstone
