Jeremiah 4:24-I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they
trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
The word ‘trembled’ in Hebrew means, "to
quake." (Strong’s #7493)
We read here how God shook the foundation of the earth
which caused her magnetic plates to break apart into seven continents,
signifying the presence of a great earthquake of divine magnitude: North
American, South American, Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, Antarctica.
Why did God break the earth apart into seven continents? The number seven in
biblical numerics is a perfect number that God used to symbolized a perfect
destruction of that earth age.
Jeremiah 4:28-For this shall the earth mourn, and the
heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it,
and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
Here, God spoke, and at the command of His voice, the
heavens became black and void of lights. This would explain why there were
no sun, no moon and no stars, in the Genesis account.
Genesis 1:14-16-And God said, Let there be lights in the
firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be
for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years: And let them be lights
in the firmament of the heaven to give upon the earth: and it was so. And
God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser
light to rule the night: He made the stars also.
Here, God said, ‘let there be lights,’ to emphasis
a total restoration of the sun, the moon and the stars;
to illuminate a once darken age that He Himself spoke out of existence in
Jeremiah 4:28. A second witness to the prophecies given to us by
Jeremiah, is also recorded in the book of Job.
Job 9:4-6-He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength:
who hath hardened himself against Him, and hath prospered? Which removeth
the mountains, and they know not: Which overturneth them in His anger. Which
shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
The word ‘tremble’ in Hebrew means, "to rend,
or quiver." (Strong’s #6426)
Job 9:7-Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not;
and sealeth up the stars.
Here, it is important to reiterate that the scriptural
account of events that is recorded in Jeremiah 4:23-28 and Job 9:4-7,
predated the events that is recorded in Genesis 1:2-19. If you don’t know
how it started, then you will never understand how it will end. In the book
of Hebrews God is giving this generation one finale warning as He takes us
back to the time when His voice shook and destroyed the first earth age in
Satan’s rebellion Revelation 12:3, in Satan’s rebellion in this earth
age Revelation 13:1, God promises not only to shake the earth, but
Hebrews 12:25-26-See that ye refuse not Him That speaketh,
For if they escaped not who refused Him That spake on earth, much more shall
not we escape, if we turn away from Him That speaketh from heaven: Whose
voice then shook the earth: but now He hath promised, saying, Yet once more
I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Here, in the book of Hebrews, God recounts the great
shaking that is recorded in Jeremiah 4:23-28 & Job 9:4-10, to wake
you up to the reality of the great shaking to come at the end of this age.
Scriptural reference to this final shaking was prophesied in Isaiah
13:13, Haggai 2:6-7, Haggai 2:20-21, Joel 2:10, Joel 3:14-16, and Matthew
24:29-30. As we look back at this impressive list of Prophets and
Apostles, Peter was left as our final witness.
