The Three Earth Ages
Page 3

2 Peter 3:5-6-For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

The word ‘world’ in Greek is kosmos. It means, "orderly arrangement." (Strong’s #2889)

For those Christians who think that Peter is talking about Noah’s flood, then I suggest they read his admonishment again. "For this they willingly are ignorant of." What is Peter telling us? That the orderly arrangement of God’s once-perfect creation in Genesis 1:1, perished when God overthrow Satan’s rebellion, the desolate and formless state that we find in Genesis 1:2 was left as a testimony to the destruction of that age.

2 Peter 3:7-But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The heaven and the earth that we now live in, is held in reserve until the great white throne judgment in Revelation 20:11-15. The new heaven and the new earth in Revelation 21:1, represent the new age or new dispensation in eternity with respect to the regeneration of all things.

Revelation 21:1-And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The word ‘new’ in Greek is, "kainos." It means, "with respect to age." The prim word is "neoteros," it means, "new" figuratively regenerated." (Strong’s #2537)

Here, we read that the word new do not represent a new heaven and a new earth, the true meaning of the word new means a regenerated heaven and earth with respect to age. The rejuvenation of this beauty planet is exactly what God did in Genesis 1:2-31, He regenerated the earth by restoring the things that He spoke out of existence in Satan’s rebellion. Before we end this study, it is important that we take a look back at a description of a dinosaur described by God.

Job 40:15-18-Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and hid force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

The word ‘sinews’ in Hebrew means, "the tendons." (Strong’s #1517)

The word ‘stones’ in Hebrew means, "His testicles." (Strong’s #6344)

God’s description of this prehistoric dinosaur has baffled many scholars over the years because in they rush to label this giant behemoth a hippopotamus, rhinoceros, or even an Egyptian water ox. They are at a loss for words to explain the tail of this gigantic creature that God said was the size of a cedar tree. Now, no animal in creation ever walked the earth, other than a dinosaur, with a tail the size of a tree. To try and exclude this very important fact will be futile indeed.

Job 40:19-22-He is the chief of the ways of GOD: He That made him can make His sword to approach unto him. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

*Chief of the ways of GOD, means the dinosaur was the biggest of all that God created.

Job 40:23-24-Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up the Jordan into his mouth. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

The illustration used here to describe this mountain of an animal figuratively drinking up the Jordan river, is a great witness to the size of this giant behemoth that once walked the earth. I thank our Father for His Word, His Word always shines light on lies and false teachings. So, the next time some one tries to tell you that this earth is only six thousand years old, tell them to document it in God’s word as this Ministry has. I thank you for studying with Men as Trees Teaching Ministry and encourage you to view some of the other Bible studies on this website.
