Here the apostle John shows us a multi-headed beast which
is representative of Satan’s political system. The seven heads represent
seven mountains (Revelation 17:9), which is symbolic for seven nations. The
ten horns represent ten kings (Revelation 17:12), which is symbolic for ten
world leaders. The ten crowns represent the royalty and prestige that these
leaders enjoy around the world. The water that this political whore
rises from represents all the deceived peoples of the world (Revelation
17:1-2 & Revelation 17:15-17).
The second beast in this demonic system is the great
dragon in his familiar role as the false Messiah. This religious figure will
look like Jesus, the Lamb of God, but he will speak as the dragon because he
is the dragon (Revelation 13:1-11 & John 1:29-37). The dragon’s
intention in this earth age is the same as it was in heaven. It is to
imitate the Lamb of God, to try and fool as many Christians as he possibly
can into accepting him as the risen Savior. This is the reason why the
scripture tells us that Satan will sit in the Holy Temple and claim to be
God (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5).
Revelation 12:4-And his tail drew the third part of
the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon
stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her
child as soon as it was born.
The word ‘drew’ in Greek means, "to take for
one’s self, choose." (Strong’s #4951 & #138)
The third part of stars that Satan drew away from God in
the rebellion is symbolic to represent "the sons of God." This truth
is brought forth in the book of Job so clearly even a child can understand
it. However, it seems that some preachers are just a little slow in grasping
Job 38:7-When the "morning stars" sang together,
and "all the sons of God" shouted for joy.
We as common sense individuals know that stars don’t
sing. So this could only mean that the morning stars represent the
children of God who sung for joy in heaven prior to the rebellion. God,
symbolically calling His children stars, coincide with Jesus Christ our Lord
and Savior’s title as the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16).
The children of God represent the ‘stars’ that Lucifer told our
Father he will exalt his throne above (Isaiah 14:12-15). The word
‘Lucifer’ in Hebrew means, ‘the morning star.’ (Strong’s #1966)
Most Christians close their eyes to the fact that we as spiritual beings
existed with God in heaven before Satan’s rebellion. By closing their eyes
to this truth, they fail to see the glorious time in paradise when all
of us shouted in joy. This was a time of total happiness and innocence from
sin. That was until Satan foolishly challenged our Father’s authority and
war broke out in heaven.
