What Are The True Mansions of God?
This study written by Maurice Wright

In this study of the mansions of God, it will be documented in the scripture that the mansions which Jesus Christ spoke of are not physical buildings stored up for us in heaven, but the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that resides in the hearts and the minds of Christians here on earth. Christ, our Redeemer, paid the mortgage for that privilege when He shed His blood on the cross. All Christians who are waiting to receive their mansion in heaven will be very surprised when they discover that Christians are that valuable piece of real estate on earth where God’s Spirit resides. Regardless of our view as to what we believe the mansions of God is, we must always look through the lenses that God sees through in order to obtain the truth. So, I invite all sincere seekers of truth to take this journey with me into the scripture, to search for God’s residency on earth.

Revelation 21:3-And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The word ‘dwell’ in Greek means, "to occupy as a mansion, to reside as God did in the tabernacle of old, a symbol of protection and communion." (Strong’s #4637)

Here, in the 21st chapter of the book of Revelation, the apostle John takes us to the eternal age when God will ‘mansion’ with His people de facto. Right now, in this present age, we have the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, but in the eternal age, we will have Him in person, as our God. The similitude by which we can compare the way God ‘mansions’ with us is to look back at how He dwelled with Israel in the tabernacle of old, because God has not changed in how He relates to His children, regardless of how some people try to change Him by the tradition of their Church doctrine.

Malachi 3:6-I am the LORD I change not.

Hebrews 13:8-Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Exodus 29:43-45-And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory. And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also Aaron and his sons, to minister to Me in the priest’s office. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.

The word ‘dwell’ in Hebrew means, "through the idea of lodging." (Strong’s #7931)

One of the great promises in the New Testament is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to ‘mansion’ with us, God chose the most valuable piece of real estate on earth to build His House, the fertile ground of the minds of Christians (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 & 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
