To conclude our study, let’s go to the book of Zechariah,
in order to appreciate the awesome sacrifice that Jesus Christ paid on the
cross in order for you and I to be clothed in our white garment.
Zechariah 3:1-2-And he shewed me Joshua the high
priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his
right hand to resist him. And the LORD said unto Satan, "The LORD rebuke
thee, O Satan; even the LORD That hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not
this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Joshua is Hebrew for, ‘Yehowshuwa.’ It
means, "Yehovah’s saved." (Strong’s #3091)
Jesus is of Hebrew origins [Strong’s #3091]. It
means, "Yehowshuwa." (Strong’s #2424)
Zechariah 3:3-4-Now Joshua was clothed with filthy
garments, and stood before the angel. And He answered and spake unto those
that stood before him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him."
And unto him He said, "Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from
thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment."
The prophet Zechariah was showed revelation of Jesus
Christ wearing the sins of the world. The filthy garments that He wear
represents the unrighteousness acts of us all. Our Savior loved us so much
that He sacrificed His righteousness for our unrighteousness at the cross,
and clothed us not in filthy rags but fine linen (Revelation 19:6-8).
Now it’s up to us to keep that garment clean, because it will be our
responsibility to wash our robes and make it white in the blood of the Lamb
(Revelation 7:9-17). I thank you for studying with Men As Trees
